Rebalancing Bitcoin Investment July 2017

BTC price is under pressure due to fear of fork in August. Gold price is under pressure too.
Take aways:

  • BTCPop and Bitbond are losing this month due to lower BTC price.
  • Bondora is leading the ahead of Twino and Mintos as EUR based lendings are proven to be stable.
  • GoldMoney is losing due to lower Gold price, while Amartha is picking up steam again even though IDR is slightly cheaper against EUR.
  • FreeBitco.in keeps dripping satoshis.
  • Overall, this months is a bad months, the months after the last bad one. So, this year the entire portfolio is still overwhelmingly positive, with performance of 38% APR projection.

Rebalancing Bitcoin Investment June 2017

BTC is still gaining against EUR this month. However, IDR is currently losing against it.
Take aways:

  • Bitcoin still performing with BTCpop still on double digit growth with Bitbond on respectable 1 digit growth. However, BTCjam and BitLendingClud closing is on-going but no cashout this month due to low withdraw-able balance.
  • Euro-based investments are growing stable with Bitbond leading the pack, followed by Twino and Mintos. So, I invest more on Bitbond.
  • Weaker IDR causes Amartha losing.
  • Gold has slight gain.
  • FreeBitco.in keeps dripping satoshis.

Rebalancing Bitcoin Investment May 2017

BTC is gaining againts EUR this month. However, EUR is gaining against USD, Gold and IDR.

Take aways:
  • BTCjam is closing.
  • BTCPop doubles the gain from last month due to BTC gain. It is becomming the biggest BTC_based investment in my portfolio. I am still moving coins from losing BTCjam and closing Bitlendingclub, but into Bitbond this month.
  • BTC-based Bitbond is stable, as well as Euro-based Mintos, Twino and Bondora.
  • Weaker IDR causes Amartha losing.
  • I bought more of Goldmoney again because it is cheaper than last month.
  • FreeBitco.in keeps dripping satoshis.

  • BTC-based Bitbond is stable, as well as Euro-based Mintos, Twino and Bondora.
  • Stronger IDR reverse the loss of last month for Amartha.
  • I bought more of Goldmoney because it is cheaper than last month.

Rebalancing Bitcoin Investment March 2017

The risk of Bitcoin fork put pressure on the BTC price. This month, most BTC-based invesments are at loss. IDR-based investment is also slightly at loss due to strong EUR.
Take aways:

  • BTCPop takes the strongest hit due to pure BTC plays, while Bitbond takes less hit due to mixed currency play, while BTCjam takes softest hit due to calculation method that spread spikes over 12 months.
  • Twino has loss a lot of Buy-back guarantee loans. So, I have to move some funds to Mintos.
  • Amartha also has no loan offers for a while due to popularity. But, the offers comeback before I have chance to move the funds out.
  • Goldmoney gains for three months strike due to gold price raising.
  • Bondora looks pretty stable and its debt collection seems promising. However, I refrain to increase investment there, due to missing income-tax-friendly buy-back guarantee loans.
  • Freebitco.in keeps dripping satoshi. But, now it has 4.08% annual interest on your FreeBitco.in balance.

Rebalancing Bitcoin Investment February 2017

February continues with the significant BTC price gain. So, all of my investments are gaining profits this month.

Highlights:

  1. I reset the Average Yield to count only numbers since January this year. So, last year lost on GoldMoney will not be counted. This might allow me into further diversification into commodity later this year.
  2. I continue to move funds away from BTCjam and BitLendingClub into BTCpop, while keeping the Bitbond as is. So, my BTC investment slowly balance away from riskier investment.
  3. Fiat-currency investment of Twino, Mintos and Amartha is continuing to gain slowly. I relies my investment only on buy-back guaranteed loans on Twino and Mintos and zero-default record of Amartha. Bondora grows faster but riskier due missing buy-back warranty.
  4. Gold prices is still gaining this month at Goldmoney.
  5. FreeBitco.in still tricking satoshis out.

Rebalancing Bitcoin Investment January 2017

January sees small BTC price gain. However, not all BTC investments gain profit due to default loans during holiday seasons.
Highlight:

  1. Most BTC-based investment has modest gain, notably BTCjam and BTCpop. Bitbond suffers default loans, while BitLendingClub is closing. So, we move funds around to minimize loses.
  2. EUR-based investment are stable, notably Mintos, Twino and Bondora. We rank Bondora to the bottom because it allow loses, while income-tax code does not deduct loses.
  3. Amartha has modest gains to due stronger EUR againts IDR. We invest this month triple than usual to it.
  4. Gold price is gaining this month on GoldMoney. But, overall gains cannot offset conversion cost and fees.
  5. Freebitco.in stills trickling satoshis out. So small, but partially help transfer cost while I move funds around.
